We have started as a food processing / Agro based Industry engaged in the manufacture of value added products from garden fresh lime fruits (Citrus Aurantifolia or Kaghzi Nimbu). The unit is strategically located in Gudur (In the state of Andhra Pradesh In Southern part of India- Very near to Chennai on NH5) which is the main belt for citrus limes in India. Lime fruits from this region are well known for their juice quality and preservative characteristics.

This exclusive Citrus unit (only one of its kind in Asia) has beautifully been put up on a 3.3 acres of eco-friendly environment. The uniqueness of the project is that there is no waste generation at all ! Each & every part of the lime fruit is fully converted into useful by-product. The unit has been fully modernized to International Standards with some of the key equipment imported from Mexico, USA and Italy. The technology has been evolved over a period of time ( originated from CFTRI, Mysore) and improved based on inputs from customers / experts. The unit is managed by a highly professional team which is rare for a SSI food industry. Our company has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification and about to acquire KOSHER certification. We are also working towards GMP and HACCP Certification.

We are already the single domestic source for many MNC flavour / food companies in India like International Flavours & Fragrances( IFF ), Cargill, AMUL etc for products like Pectin/ Lime Oil. We are also into exports, one of the special products being Dehydrated Black Limes which are in great demand in Gulf.

As part of our endeavour to add high value added products, we have put up a separate unit with 3 'Spray Dryers' to not only manufacture all fruit Juice powders, but also many other Food Ingredients. In association with Indian Institute of Horticultural Research ( IIHR, Bangalore ), we have developed unique process to osmotically dehydrate fruits like Mango/ Pine Apple which have very good domestic and export demand.

Recently, we have added a complete Herbal extraction facility to manufacture different Herbal extracts in a exclusive building. We also have the distinction of putting up a full fledged R & D facility with imported equipment like HPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometer. Thus, Southern Citrus which has been started as exclusive Citrus unit has evolved into a multipurpose Processing unit catering to Food and Herbal Industries. But, we restrict ourselves to only NATURAL PRODUCTS.

We have bagged a very prestigious National Award – 2007 ( MSME, Govt of India ) for Quality Products under ‘ Processed fruits and Vegetables category’ apart from AP state and APSFC awards.

Our mission is to offer international quality products on a timely basis and to constantly achieve full customer satisfaction. Thus, apart from ensuring end product quality, there is constant endeavour to have special emphasis on process quality and raw material quality.
