In 1979, The company was founded in the name of Southern Citrus Products Pvt Ltd.(presently Cifal Herbal Pvt. Ltd.), down South of India.
The promoter is Mr. Y.VIDYA SAGAR, Masters from IIT, India with his own rich techno-commercial expertise.
The Company was started as a Food Processing/ Agro based Industry, engaged in
the manufacture of value-added products from garden fresh Lime Fruits (Citrus
Aurantifolia or Kaghzi Nimbu).
The facility is strategically situated at Gudur (In the state of Andhra
Pradesh located In Southern part of India) which is the main belt for citrus
limes in India. Lime fruits from this region are well known for their
juice quality, preservative characteristics and globally well acclaimed.
With its sheer focus and dedication in manufacture of Citrus products, the
Company was quickly accredited as the largest Citrus Lime Processor in Asia.
In 2010, The Company was re-named as CIFAL HERBAL PRIVATE LIMITED with its
quest for diversification into manufacture of Botanical Extracts and other
nature originated
products. Thus, the Company added a sophisticated botanical extraction facility adjacent to the existing citrus lime processing facility, all in one premises.
This gave great impetus for the Company to foray into the international business
along with its standardised global norms, highly sustainable infrastructure and
a basket of
wholesome products to cater to the Nutraceuticals, Pharmaceuticals,
Cosmeceuticals and Food & Beverage industry.
The unique advantage from the Company
is the usage of Ethanol based solvents in botanical extraction.
The products offered are Standardised
Botanical Extracts, Oleoresins, Citrus Lime Oil (Steam Distilled), Citrus
Bioflavonoids, Exclusive Citrus based products and an array of Spray Dried
Nutrient Powders.
The Principles of Green Chemistry as
advocated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of United States of
America are strictly adhered to by the Company which is really
commendable.
The process technology has been
evolved over a period of time with the guidance of Central Food Technological
Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, India from inception of the
Company.
As part of the Company’s endeavour to include high value addition to the products being manufactured, an exclusive facility was set up in the same premises with 3 nos. of 'Spray Dryers'. This facility certainly became an added strength also for the quality of products in the manufacturing process.
In association with Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR, Bangalore, India), the Company developed an unique process to osmotically dehydrate fruits like Mango/ Pine Apple which have very good demand globally.
The Company also has the distinction of having a full fledged Lab and R & D facility with imported equipments like HPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometer to ensure that only the best quality products are offered.
The whole facility located in 36000 sq. ft area is a highlight of its nature friendliness in an ecologically well-preserved environment.
The Company has all the required
Certifications including USFDA registration.
