Solubility: Because of the presence of waxes, not clearly soluble in 5 vol. of 95% alcohol

Refractive index at 20o C 1.4853 to 1.4842
Aldehyde content (citral) 3.65% to 5.75%
Evaporation reusidue 12.98% to !4.65%
